Hearing the doorbell ring and the voice of Katherine, her new found friend, Nina rose from the couch to quickly open the door.
"Hey beautiful," she greeted her guest with a sly smile. Taking the young woman’s hand, Nina led her to the living room, offering her a seat and a glass of wine to drink.
Katherine smiled a little bit, just enough to curl the ends of her mouth as she was whisked inside of Nina’s house. “You’re hospitality is like no other,” she smiled at her, sitting down and taking the wine glass from her. “Now,” she asked softly, taking a sip, “do you do this for everyone?” she teased, narrowing her eyes with a smile on her face.
Nina absentmindedly rearranged her apartment as she waited for her guest to arrive. After quickly tidying up the space, she went on to the kitchen to pick up a bottle of wine, two glasses, and a delicious batch of cookies; knowing that was one of the best ways to unwind for the night. Bringing the items to the living room, Nina set them down on the coffee table as she lounged lazily on her plush couch, waiting for Katherine to ring her door bell.
After checking her phone for the thousandth time, she had had the right address, she turned it on silent. She wouldn’t be needing it tonight. While stepping out of her car, Katherine pressed it into the back pocket of her jeans. Her heels clicked on the pavement as she made her way up to the front door of Nina’s house, ringing the door bell. “Knock, knock,” she called with a small smile, waiting for her new friend to answer the door.
